CHILI PEPPER RACING STRUGGLES FOR AWARD IN DENVER

Ooltewah, TN. – August 22,2005
Chili Pepper Racing #7 TC Thompson Children's Hospital/Remote Area Medical GTO struggled heavily in practice and qualifing for Round 9 of the SPEED World Challenge GT Series in Denver, Co August 15, 2005. Osborn qualified the #7 GTO in 23th position yet raced through the field to finish 14th overall earning Osborn the "Sunoco Hard Charger Award" for most positions gained.

As if gasping for air in the mile high city the #7 GTO lingered in the back of the pack through the practice and qualifing rounds. " The car was handling very well all weekend. The course was very tight and technical, but it is as if we are down on power compared to our competitors" said driver Jim Osborn. "Our crew made a few adjustments after qualifing and I drove my tail off triing to turn the weekend around... somewhere near the end of the race the crew came on the radio and told me Stu (Hayner) and I were competing for the "Hard Charger Award" ..Stu and I both had a tough weekend and was glad we were able to finish the well in the GTO's... 14th is the #7 GTO's best finish"

Chili Pepper Racing is looking forward to Round 10 at Mosport, Bowmanville, Ontario, CAN September 3, 2005. The race airs on SPEED Sat., Sept. 10, 1 p.m.
