Jim Osborn races to his best finish in the SPEED World Challenge Touring Car Series at round 2 in St. Petersburg, Fl.
Chili Pepper Racing’s Jim Osborn, driver of the No. 24 T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital/Remote Area Medical/Trenton Forging BMW 325ci finishes 9th in Round 2 of the SPEED World Challenge Touring Car series in St. Petersburg, Florida. This was Osborn’s first top 10 finish since the debut of the No. 24 car in 2002. “We have been very close to a top 10 finish several times but have fallen short for various reasons,” says Osborn. “We knew it was a matter of time and we are so happy it could be at the St. Petersburg course.”
The 1.8 mile street course, and it’s unforgiving concrete barrier’s, left little room for mistakes. It took it’s toll on a number of competitor’s, but the No. 24 BMW came away undamaged and ready for Round 3 at Road Atlanta April 15-17th.
